Wall Mounted Outdoor Face Planter – Black

This face planter is a great addition to my home décor. I thought about placing this outside, but our Texas heat is brutal on outdoor items.

The trick to making your faux plants look real is to mix your real house plants with your faux ones. You will also want to get the best looking faux plants that you can find.  These faux String of Pearls can be found on Amazon as well as at your nearest Hobby Lobby store.

Happy 4th of July

Patriotism? Do you believe in it?  Do you know what it means?  It means “devotion to and vigorous support for one’s country” (as defined by Google).  I fly my American flag every day.  Every.  Single.  Day.  And, when it’s a holiday such as 4th of July, Labor Day, Flag Day, Veteran’s Day, etc., I put it all out there.

Affiliate links below:

1. This Love, Peace, Joy sign is a terrific daily reminder and it hangs near my front door.

2. Love my two USA lumbar pillows that sit on my front porch.

3. Red, white, and blue patriotic bunting.  All six hang from my back fence for the whole world to see.

4. I LOVE Red.  These red glasses pair nicely with my 4th of July theme.

5. Red & White Striped Placemats //  This is such a great table runner – similar here // Blue Paper Napkins w/White Stars – similar here // Villeroy & Boch White Plates // Wine Glasses – Riedel // Shot Glasses – similar here // The centerpieces are from Dollar General and the USA flag paper plates on top were sourced from HEB.  This is such a great way to have themed plates without breaking the bank and then trying to find storage room for them.

6. Red Tulips.  These are gorgeous and so life like.  I have had two folks grab a vase and proceed to put water in it thinking that these tulips were the real deal.  $21.95 per dozen.  Or, $2.95 per stem.  Get yours today!

7. USA Scarf.  This is so easy to pair with a tank top, shorts and flip flops here in the South.  Our July’s are quite hot!

8. Gold Flatware.  This just dresses the table up a notch.  I LOVE my set.

9. Wreaths by Simi.  What can I say?  I love Miss Simi’s work.  She’s a doll and this patriotic wreath will NOT disappoint!

Have a safe, fun, and terrific 4th of July.  Let Freedom Ring!  More pictures of this tablescape can be found here.

Garden Necessities

Do you love to garden?  I love to garden! Begin small and then expand.  Don’t forget to add your used coffee grounds to your soil.  I have learned that I have massive amounts of nitrogen in my garden – the flowering plants tend to have beautiful green leaves without much flowering.  I have begun to bury banana peels, coffee grounds, and egg shells near my flowering plants.  This will give them more potassium.  Who knew used coffee grounds had potassium in them?

As much as I love to garden, I have sent many plants to death row.  They just do not always make it.  With that being said, try your best to plant native plants for your area in your outdoor gardens.

These are just some of the items in my gardening arsenal.  Click here for my latest gardening updates.  More gardening info. here.
